Lauren Resch, MS, LPCIT

Lauren Resch is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT) who brings a fresh perspective and genuine passion to the field of mental health counseling. She currently practices as an outpatient therapist at Ellie Mental Health in Madison, Wisconsin, where she has been working for approximately seven months. Lauren earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Her interest in psychology began in high school, where she developed a strong curiosity about the human brain and mental health. This academic interest became deeply personal through experiences with mental illness affecting people in her life, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to supporting others. Lauren works primarily with young adults in their 20s, helping them navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, and major life transitions. She also has a developing interest in supporting new parents as they adjust to the complexities of parenthood.
Lauren takes a relational and client-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of strong therapeutic rapport as the foundation for meaningful progress. She incorporates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring her approach to each client’s individual needs. Through her clinical training and experience working across the lifespan—including children during her undergraduate work and adults during her graduate internship—she has developed the ability to connect authentically with diverse populations. Lauren provides both in-person and virtual sessions and is committed to continuing her growth as a clinician while helping clients move toward their goals with empathy and support.
