Laura Battisti, DPT, is a dedicated Physical Therapist based in Longmont, Colorado, with over four years of experience between outpatient and inpatient settings. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Mary Baldwin University after completing her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology with a minor in Psychology at Rochester Institute of Technology. Laura is a licensed Physical Therapist with the FSBPT and holds current CPR certification. Since beginning her career in 2021, Laura has worked with a broad range of patients, addressing conditions from orthopedic injuries and post-operative rehabilitation to complex neurological disorders. She has gained significant expertise in working with older adults, helping them achieve maximal independence and improve balance and mobility. Her clinical experience spans outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, and specialized therapy centers, giving her a versatile approach to patient care. Laura’s passion for physical therapy was inspired by her mother’s recovery from multiple orthopedic surgeries, which motivated her to help others regain their function and independence. She is particularly interested in geriatrics and neurological rehabilitation, including patients with Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Outside of work, Laura enjoys traveling, exploring Colorado’s natural beauty, and spending quality time with her elderly dog. Her long-term goal is to work in an outpatient neuro clinic, where she can continue to provide specialized care to patients with complex needs.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I feel the most success in working in geriatrics, primarily because I feel like I can connect with them a little bit better in terms of encouraging them to achieve the maximal independence that they are capable of. Honestly, they're some of the most hardworking people I've ever worked with because they really want to gain their independence back. One of my passions is working in geriatrics, so any of the older patients, I ask that they send them my way.
