Krystal Sobers, RN

Krystal Sobers is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner and travel nurse whose personal journey fuels her deep compassion and commitment to patient care. From her early years in foster care and experiences with homelessness, Krystal developed a unique understanding of hardship and resilience, which now informs every interaction with her patients. She has built a career delivering empathetic, non-judgmental care, advocating for patients’ needs, and meeting people where they are, regardless of their circumstances.

Krystal began her healthcare career as a certified nursing assistant in 2013 and has since worked in long-term care, cardiac, and orthopedic settings. She recently earned her master’s degree as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) to expand her impact in mental health care. A travel nurse with CHI Saint Joseph Health for three years, Krystal is recognized for her ability to provide holistic care, focusing not only on medical needs but also on emotional wellbeing, human connection, and creating meaningful moments for patients and their families.

Throughout her career, Krystal has been celebrated for acts of “humankindness,” including receiving the Daisy Award for exceptional patient-centered care. From arranging bedside celebrations for terminal patients to ensuring comfort and dignity for all under her care, Krystal exemplifies the values of empathy, advocacy, and compassion. Her ultimate goal is to work as a telehealth therapist, continuing to serve patients who may otherwise have limited access to mental health support, bringing the same dedication and humanity that have defined her journey.
