Kristin Harbin

Kristin Harbin is a Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered primary care in Alabama. She currently practices at Scottsboro Quick Care Clinic and Section Quick Care Clinic, where she focuses on delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families across the community. Kristin began practicing as a nurse in 2020 and advanced to the role of Nurse Practitioner in August 2024, building a strong clinical foundation through progressive experience in acute and hospital-based care settings.
Her nursing background includes extensive experience in ICU, medical-surgical, hospice, and cardiac care, all within hospital environments that required strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork. She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Alabama Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completed in December 2023, and a Master of Science in Nursing completed in 2025, both from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. This advanced education, combined with hands-on clinical experience, has shaped her into a well-rounded and highly capable provider committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional growth.
Kristin’s path to healthcare began with a long-standing desire to serve in the medical field, though she initially pursued a career in education as a science teacher. Her perspective shifted while working as a telemetry monitor technician at Highlands Medical Center, where she observed the importance of meaningful patient-provider interaction and the impact of compassionate bedside care. This experience inspired her transition into nursing, where she could spend more direct time with patients and actively participate in their care.
As her career progressed, Kristin developed a deeper commitment to expanding her scope of practice and advancing her ability to care for patients throughout the lifespan, which led her to pursue her Nurse Practitioner degree. She is known for her holistic, relationship-based approach to care, grounded in the belief that patients should be treated like family—listened to, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey. Kristin’s guiding philosophy is rooted in compassion, integrity, and service, and she remains committed to delivering thoughtful, individualized care while continuing to grow in her role as a provider.
