Kimberly Bell, RN, BSN, MSN Candidate | Trauma Acute Care
Kimberly Bell, RN, is a dedicated registered nurse working in the Trauma Step-Down Telemetry Unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a Level One Trauma Center in Neptune, New Jersey. With nearly seven years of experience in healthcare, she began her career as a patient care technician before advancing into nursing, a transition that allows her to bring both hands-on clinical insight and deep empathy to every patient interaction. In her current role, Kimberly cares for high-acuity patients transitioning from the ICU, managing complex medical needs while maintaining a steady, compassionate presence for patients and their families.
Kimberly’s path into nursing was profoundly shaped by personal experience. Caring for her mother during a terminal cancer diagnosis, and later losing her during the COVID-19 pandemic, solidified her desire to serve others during their most vulnerable moments. Witnessing the impact of attentive, compassionate nurses during that time inspired her commitment to patient-centered care rooted in empathy, advocacy, and emotional support. She approaches each day with the understanding that healing extends beyond physical treatment and includes reassurance, clear communication, and trust.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, Kimberly continues to advance her education while excelling at the bedside. She is completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and preparing to enter a BSN-to-MSN bridge program, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and active membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Known for her positivity, teamwork, and calm leadership under pressure, Kimberly strives to be a supportive mentor to colleagues and a reassuring presence for patients, embodying resilience, compassion, and excellence in nursing practice.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to build meaningful connections and strong rapport with patients and their families. I value being able to provide education, support, and guidance throughout their plan of care during hospitalization, helping them understand their condition and feel empowered in their recovery. Witnessing a patient regain confidence and independence after an illness or injury, especially after a period of vulnerability, is incredibly rewarding and reinforces my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
