Ken Madan, MBA

Ken Madan, MBA, is an experienced healthcare leader with three decades in pharmaceutical and rare disease management. He currently serves as Associate Director of Rare Diseases at Novartis Oncology, overseeing operations across the West Coast, including California, Nevada, and Hawaii. In this role, he leads a team of seven professionals, collaborates with academic institutions, and supports patients affected by rare genetic conditions through physician education, clinical feedback, and navigating complex reimbursement and patient access challenges.

Ken began his career in pharmaceutical sales and business development, developing expertise in strategic partnerships, contract negotiation, and team leadership. He also founded a company focused on educating families and caregivers about Alzheimer’s dementia, which later transitioned into larger-scale healthcare leadership. These experiences shaped his patient-centered approach and reinforced his commitment to community education and long-term outcomes.

Academically, Ken holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Finance and an MBA, blending business acumen with healthcare strategy. Outside of work, he and his wife actively support nonprofits dedicated to underprivileged children and families, focusing on education, fundraising, and sustainable community impact.
