Dr. Katherine (Katy) Matta is a board-certified OB-GYN dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive care for women in Brighton, Brookline, and the surrounding areas of Massachusetts. She currently serves as a partner at Nicole H. Boudreau, MD P.C., where she focuses on office-based gynecology and offers compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Matta takes pride in understanding each patient’s unique needs and developing treatment plans tailored to improve overall health and quality of life. Dr. Matta’s medical journey began at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where she completed an accelerated 6-year program, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry alongside her Doctor of Medicine (MD). She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois and further honed her skills with a fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. Throughout her career, Dr. Matta has held key roles in hospital and clinical settings. She served as an OB/GYN Physician at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center for over 14 years, providing obstetric and gynecologic care across a wide patient population. She also worked as a Medical Doctor with Steward Health Care, supporting obstetrics and gynecology services across the region. In 2025, she transitioned to private practice in Brookline, combining her clinical expertise with a focus on patient-centered office gynecology. Dr. Matta is committed to professional development and excellence in care. She holds certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and recently obtained the MSCP Logo 2025 certification from The Menopause Society, reflecting her commitment to menopause care. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Medical Women’s Association, and the Catholic Medical Association, engaging with peers to stay at the forefront of medical knowledge and best practices. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Matta is passionate about advancing gynecologic education. She has been recognized for excellence in teaching and presented at numerous workshops, including the 14th Annual Comprehensive Workshop on Gynecologic Endoscopy for Residents and Fellows, the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons Course in Advanced Gynecologic Surgery, and AAGL Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Currently working on her Master’s in Public Health at Boston University she strives to make a difference in community work with women’s health. She did a Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership Certificate from Harvard Medical School. Learning is always a way to help improve any aspect of care.
