Karen is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 25 years of experience in patient care, currently working on a nursing-home-style unit at a CDPC psychiatric hospital. She specializes in hands-on caregiving, providing support to patients who cannot eat independently, ensuring comfort through repositioning, administering medications, and calming patients experiencing anxiety. Her approach emphasizes dignity, compassion, and practical support for those in her care.
Much of Karen’s career was spent at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home, where she developed extensive expertise in geriatric care. She later transitioned to psychiatric hospital settings, including forensic and geriatric units, applying her skills to support patients with complex needs while maintaining a calm and attentive presence.
