Justine McFarland, BSN, RN

Justine McFarland, BSN, RN is a dedicated and accomplished nursing leader with over 20 years of experience across diverse healthcare environments. She currently serves as the Director of Nursing at The Gardens at Stevens in Pennsylvania, where she provides strategic oversight of clinical operations and leads initiatives that promote patient safety, staff development, and quality improvement. A Daisy Award Nominee, Justine is widely respected for her compassionate leadership, her commitment to excellence, and her ability to cultivate a positive, patient-centered culture that enhances both care delivery and staff engagement.

Before stepping into her current leadership role, Justine served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Brethren Village from 2023 to 2025, where she advanced best practices in nursing management and implemented effective risk prevention strategies to strengthen organizational performance. She previously held the same position at Luthercare from 2020 to 2023, where she played a vital role in improving infection control procedures, developing fall prevention programs, and mentoring nursing teams to deliver consistent, high-quality care. Her proven record of success reflects her capacity to lead with integrity, motivate teams, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of nursing practice.

A proud graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Nursing and Health Science, Justine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and continues to promote professional growth and evidence-based care within the long-term care sector. She credits her success to the strong work ethic instilled in her by her mother and grandparents, whose example continues to inspire her commitment to hard work, empathy, and leadership through service. Outside of her professional endeavors, Justine enjoys spending quality time with her family and dogs and discovering new restaurants in her community.
