Julie N. LoMonaco, D.C.

Dr. Julie N. LoMonaco, D.C., is a dedicated chiropractor with 25 years of experience and a passion for natural, preventive healthcare. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Dr. Julie also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buffalo State College. Originally from upstate New York, she discovered her calling to chiropractic during her senior year of college while considering law school. After visiting Palmer and learning about the philosophy of prevention-focused, non-invasive care, she knew she had found her true path. Since 2009, she has owned and operated her private practice, serving her small-town community with dedication and heart.

Dr. Julie provides general chiropractic care to patients of all ages—from infants to geriatric patients—as well as individuals with sports-related conditions. She is a hands-on practitioner who utilizes Palmer Package and Gonstead techniques, performing manual adjustments without the use of an activator. Her approach emphasizes natural healing and restoring proper function through precise, physical adjustments. In addition to spinal care, she incorporates guidance on nutrition and overall wellness, routinely discussing diet, hydration, sleep, and exercise as part of a whole-person health strategy.

A strong believer in collaborative care, Dr. Julie works alongside a massage therapist in her office and refers patients to trusted providers, including a naturopath and a nurse practitioner specializing in functional medicine when appropriate. She believes chiropractic care should often be the first step in addressing health concerns rather than the last resort. Outside of practice, she is an active member of her community and an animal lover, sharing her life with a dog and two cats—her shy dog, Bandit, occasionally makes a special appearance at the office. Above all, Dr. Julie considers it a privilege and a gift to serve her patients and help them live healthier, more vibrant lives.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I just love what I do. I mean, I love helping people feel better and live better. I love chiropractic and I love what it can do, that it's natural and non-invasive. The only aspect of my job that I really detest is the insurance. I do everything in my office from front to back, and back to front, and the HIPAA and the insurance and everything has been making it very miserable, not going to lie. But I love what I do. I love chiropractic, and in my opinion, it should be the first thing most people try instead of the last thing that they come to. That part I love. It's just the business insurance part that makes it really hard.
