Josy Adams, MD
Dr. Josy Adams, MD, is a Resident Physician specializing in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, Texas. With a strong foundation in diagnostic and clinical laboratory medicine, Dr. Adams brings a meticulous approach to patient care and laboratory practice. His unique background in philosophy from Columbia University complements his medical expertise, enhancing his analytical reasoning and ethical decision-making in complex clinical situations.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Adams served in the U.S. Army from 2011 to 2015, including deployments to Afghanistan with the 75th Ranger Regiment. His military experience instilled discipline, leadership, and a dedication to service, qualities he carries into his medical career. During medical school at the American University of the Caribbean, he graduated with honors and was consistently on the Dean’s List, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.
Outside of his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Adams is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives, including mentoring veterans through Service 2 School to help them transition into higher education. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading medical journals, hiking, and outdoor activities. What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is making a positive difference in the lives of others. I find fulfillment in helping people, whether it’s through direct patient care or contributing to the broader healthcare system. Pathology has allowed me to combine my passion for science with my desire to impact patient outcomes in meaningful ways.
