Joslynn Moore, CNA
Joslynn Moore is a traveling healthcare professional and freelance writer based in Little Rock, Arkansas. A Certified Nursing Assistant since 2016, she brings nearly a decade of hands-on clinical experience across long-term care, geriatric, acute care, and one-on-one hospital settings. Her healthcare journey began in Arkansas as a dietary aide at a long-term care facility, where a conversation with a CNA inspired her to pursue certification. After completing her training and state boards, she built a strong foundation in Arkansas before accepting her first travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2020—an experience that launched her into a full-time travel healthcare career. She has since worked in multiple states, including assignments in Wisconsin while residing near the Minnesota border, primarily serving long-term care facilities where she values building lasting relationships with residents.
Joslynn has worked under contract with Alliant Personnel Resources LLC, delivering adaptable, high-quality patient care in diverse environments. She has also gained experience in hospital settings, including time at Arkansas Children's Hospital and Baptist Health, though her passion remains in long-term care, where deeper patient connections are possible. Known for her reliability, spotless certification record, and compassionate bedside manner, she is frequently sought after for her professionalism and consistency. Her motivation extends beyond compensation—she is driven by the meaningful bonds she forms with residents and the affirmation she receives when patients express appreciation for her care.
In addition to healthcare, Joslynn is a freelance writer and content creator with published work on Vocal, where she has earned recognition including two Top Stories and two second-place finishes for Emerging Creators. Writing under an alias, she specializes in storytelling, engaging copy, and SEO-optimized content across multiple genres. A former student at University of Central Arkansas, she blends creativity with real-world experience, using both healthcare and entrepreneurship as inspiration for her work. Passionate about growth, resilience, and personal development, Joslynn continues to balance contract healthcare assignments with building her writing career—embracing both the discipline and freedom of the 1099 lifestyle.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is being able to create relationships and bonds with my residents. In long-term care, patients are there longer versus in the hospital where they might only be there for 1 to 2 days or maybe a week before being discharged, so you actually get to know them. I love when people tell me that I've done a good job, or when they find out that I'm working today, they feel more motivated to do better in therapy or they feel more motivated to eat more food. Just today, I had a resident who was asking me on Saturday if I was coming back, and when she saw me this morning, she just lit up and said she knew she was going to have a good day because I was there. That pushes me beyond what any paycheck could ever do. I'm really passionate about taking care of people, and when my residents tell me how appreciative they are of the care I give them, it motivates me to be the best that I can be.
