Jessica Wiepking
Jessica Wiepking is a Doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University, dedicated to advancing the understanding of cognitive and behavioral processes in youth. Her academic journey began at California State University, Chico, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and developed a passion for exploring the developing mind. Nearing the completion of her clinical training and preparing to begin her internship, she is focused on transitioning from general psychotherapy into the specialized field of neuropsychology, integrating clinical insight with cognitive science.
Her research centers on the intersection of technology use and attention in adolescents. Her dissertation, “Parents of Adolescents on Electronic Use and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Parental Perspectives, Sleep, Internalization,” examines how parental perspectives and digital habits influence ADHD-related behaviors and emotional well-being. She is currently working to transform this research into a peer-reviewed journal article to contribute to the broader academic conversation on mental health in the digital age. Professionally, she is particularly interested in diagnostic assessment and cognitive evaluation, with a focus on ADHD and the psychological impacts of electronic media.
Outside of academic and clinical pursuits, Wiepking prioritizes a balanced life as a devoted mother. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking, and connecting with friends. These personal passions complement her professional endeavors, reflecting the compassion, dedication, and human-centered approach she brings to her work. She is committed to bridging the gap between evolving technology and the developing mind while contributing meaningfully to the field of mental health across generations.
