Jessica Homan, OTD, OTR/L
Jessica Homan, OTD, OTR/L, is a board-certified occupational therapist licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York. She earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology, where she graduated with a 3.97 GPA and was inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society. Jessica has a strong foundation in clinical practice, having gained extensive experience working with patients of all ages across diverse settings, including pediatric programs, special-needs athletic initiatives, and rehabilitation for traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
Throughout her career, Jessica has demonstrated a particular passion for creating inclusive and therapeutic programs that support children with disabilities. Her doctoral capstone experience at Glen Dance Studio involved designing and implementing a dance program to reduce symptoms in children with autism spectrum disorder. She has also contributed to fieldwork and internships at multiple facilities, including Inclusive Sports and Fitness Inc., Precision Rehab, and vocational life skills programs, where she provided hands-on treatment and mentorship.
Beyond her clinical practice, Jessica is committed to community engagement and mentorship. She co-founded "Down with Dance," a program for children with Down syndrome, and volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, providing guidance and support to elementary school students. She actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the New York State Occupational Therapy Association (NYSOTA), reflecting her dedication to advancing the field of occupational therapy while inspiring the next generation of practitioners.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is working with children and supporting them as they recover and improve their health. Seeing their progress and knowing I can make a positive impact on their lives is incredibly rewarding.
