Jennifer (Jenni) Spezza, RN, BSN, CWOCN, is a highly experienced wound, ostomy, and continence nurse with more than 15 years of specialized practice across hospital, clinic, and home health settings. She began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield University in 2003, gaining early experience in medical-surgical and emergency care at Willamette Falls Hospital. In 2008, she transitioned to Providence Home Health, where she discovered her passion for complex wound and ostomy management. Jennifer became board-certified in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (CWOCN) in 2010 through the WebWOC program and has since built a reputation for advancing patient care, education, and access in her field.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has contributed meaningfully to programs that enhance both patient outcomes and clinical collaboration. From 2015 to 2018, she served as part of the inpatient wound and ostomy team at Providence Portland Medical Center, while also supporting the outpatient ostomy clinic. She has played a pivotal role in developing virtual consult models within home health to support case managers and primary care providers, and has participated in e-consults aimed at closing care gaps for patients with complex wounds. Her leadership and commitment were recognized through the prestigious Barbara Tate Scholarship, awarded for her academic excellence, professional leadership, and dedication to shaping the future of WOC nursing.

Currently, Jennifer works with Providence Home Services in Portland, Oregon, providing advanced wound, ostomy, and continence care to patients in the home health setting. She is also a Master of Science in Nursing candidate in Georgetown University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program, with anticipated graduation in December 2025. Jennifer is committed to integrating her WOC expertise into her future role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a long-term vision of creating accessible, community-centered care models for underserved and homebound populations.
