Jennifer (Jenni) Spezza, MSN, FNP-C, CWOCN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse with more than 15 years of specialized experience across hospital, outpatient, and home health settings. She brings a rare combination of advanced practice training and deep subspecialty wound expertise to the care of patients with complex and chronic conditions.

Jennifer began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield University in 2003, gaining early experience in medical-surgical and emergency care at Willamette Falls Hospital. In 2008, she transitioned to Providence Home Health, where she discovered her passion for complex wound and ostomy management. She became board-certified in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (CWOCN) in 2010 through the WebWOC program and has since built a reputation for advancing patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative care delivery models.

From 2015 to 2018, Jennifer served on the inpatient wound and ostomy team at Providence Portland Medical Center, where she provided acute care consultation and supported the outpatient ostomy clinic. In the home health setting, she has led initiatives to improve access to specialty wound care, including development of virtual consult pathways, e-consults to close care gaps, and collaborative models that support primary care providers and case managers in managing complex wounds in the community.

Her leadership and academic excellence were recognized through the prestigious Barbara Tate Scholarship, awarded for her commitment to advancing the specialty of WOC nursing and shaping the future of patient-centered care.

Now as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Jennifer is actively seeking her first advanced practice provider (APP) role, with a strong interest in expanding outpatient and community-based wound care services. She is particularly passionate about building accessible, evidence-based wound programs that bridge vascular, primary care, and home-based populations—improving healing outcomes while reducing preventable hospitalizations.

Jennifer’s clinical philosophy centers on holistic, equitable, and relationship-driven care. She believes that healing happens best when patients feel seen, educated, and empowered to actively participate in their health journey. Her long-term vision includes developing innovative care models that expand specialty wound access for underserved and homebound populations.
