Jennifer Sizemore, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Jennifer Sizemore, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Southern Roots Psychiatry, Inc in Marianna, Florida. With a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based care, she specializes in mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and other mental health conditions across the lifespan. Jennifer is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where patients can receive comprehensive evaluations and personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
Before founding Southern Roots Psychiatry, Jennifer served as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Dothan Behavioral Medicine Clinic and Wiregrass Wellness Center, LLC, gaining extensive experience in acute care, child and adolescent psychiatry, and geriatric mental health. Her clinical expertise includes both in-person and telehealth services, medication management, and evidence-based psychotherapy, allowing her to provide holistic care for patients across different settings.
Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Regis College and a BSN/ADN from Chipola College. She is board-certified (PMHNP-BC) and maintains a focus on staying current with advancements in psychiatric care. Her clinical approach combines patient advocacy, trauma-informed care, and integrative mental health strategies to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of care.
In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer is committed to giving back to her community through volunteering in child welfare, general health and rehabilitative initiatives, and veteran support programs. She is an advocate for mental health awareness and works to reduce stigma surrounding psychiatric conditions. Through her leadership at Southern Roots Psychiatry, Jennifer continues to empower patients and families, fostering resilience, growth, and overall well-being.
