Jennifer Gilbert, LPN, MS

Jennifer Gilbert, LPN, is a seasoned nursing professional with 25 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in mental health and developmental disabilities. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, she currently serves with Benchmark Human Services, where she has worked for the past 14 years. In her role as a Licensed Practical Nurse House Manager, she oversees two crisis homes in North Georgia—located in Acworth and Gainesville—that provide critical care for individuals with developmental disabilities experiencing behavioral or emotional crises. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Jennifer plays a key role in staff development and training. She is responsible for educating and mentoring all incoming house managers across the state of Georgia, ensuring consistent, high-quality care standards within the organization. Her facilities support individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, serving both young adults and older adult populations in structured, supportive environments tailored to their needs. Jennifer’s nursing career began in Ohio, where she started as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a small 25-bed facility, developing a strong foundation in hands-on patient care. After relocating to Georgia, she completed her LPN training at Valdosta Technical College in 2001 and later earned her Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University in 2016. She is an active member of the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association (DDNA) and remains deeply committed to advocacy, education, and improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
