Jeffry L. Jacobs, D.O., FACOS
Dr. Jeffry L. Jacobs, D.O., FACOS, is a distinguished Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Trauma Specialist with over 37 years of experience. He is dual board-certified in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and General Surgery, with specialized expertise in hand and extremity reconstructive surgery. Dr. Jacobs currently practices at Personal Image, P.C. in Saddle River, New Jersey, and holds active staff appointments at multiple hospitals, including Hackensack Meridian Health – Pascack Valley and Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr. Jacobs completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biology from Rutgers University. He pursued extensive postgraduate training, including a residency in General Surgery, a fellowship in Hand Surgery, and a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at premier institutions such as Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Cleveland Clinic, and Detroit Receiving Hospital. This rigorous training provided him with a solid foundation in trauma, plastic surgery, and complex reconstructive procedures.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jacobs has demonstrated a deep commitment to teaching and mentorship. He has served as a Clinical and Adjunct Assistant Professor at numerous institutions, including Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology. He has also trained and mentored medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals, fostering the next generation of surgeons through structured education and hands-on guidance.
Dr. Jacobs’ dedication to patient care is reflected in his numerous awards and recognitions, including the America’s Best in Medicine Award, the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award, and multiple honors from BERGEN Magazine for top plastic surgeons. He is a member of the New York Philharmonic, enjoys attending the Metropolitan Opera and Ballet, and follows professional hockey and football. He is passionate about global travel and is a member of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, the world’s oldest international gastronomic society.
