Jeffry L. Jacobs, D.O., FACOS
Jeffry Jacobs, DO, is a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and hand surgeon with more than 27 years of experience in independent practice. Based in Saddle River, New Jersey, he is the founder of Personal Image, P.C., where he specializes in high-acuity plastic and reconstructive trauma surgery for emergency traumatic injuries from head to toe, affecting the face, hands, and upper and lower extremities. Dr. Jacobs is widely recognized for his precision, adaptability, and expertise in managing complex trauma cases in which timely surgical intervention can significantly alter patient outcomes. He was selected as a “Best of the Best Top Doctor” by BERGEN Magazine in both 2023 and 2024. Dr. Jacobs’ professional journey reflects a deep commitment to purposeful, impact-driven medicine. Although he began his career in cosmetic surgery, a formative personal experience led him to transition into reconstructive and trauma surgery—a field he found both more demanding and more meaningful. His work focuses on restoring function, form, and dignity to patients experiencing traumatic injuries, including facial trauma, hand and extremity injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, and complex soft tissue wounds. His clinical expertise is supported by extensive training and decades of hands-on experience in emergency and reconstructive care. Equally central to Dr. Jacobs’ career is his dedication to mentorship and education. For nearly three decades, he has taught and guided medical students and residents, emphasizing not only surgical excellence but also professional integrity, discipline, and service. His practice is guided by seven personal principles, including commitment to passion, attention to detail, continuous improvement, and paying knowledge forward. Through his clinical work, mentorship, and leadership within the medical community, Dr. Jacobs remains devoted to advancing trauma surgery standards while making a lasting, positive impact on both patients and future physicians.
