Jay Ryser, MS.Ed, LPC is a highly experienced licensed professional counselor with nearly four decades of work in behavioral health, specializing in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Throughout his career, he has focused on treating mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, applying both individual and group therapy approaches. His commitment to delivering effective, empathetic, and collaborative care has made him a trusted clinician for patients across the lifespan.
Beginning his career in psychiatric hospital settings as an admissions coordinator, Jay quickly advanced into therapeutic roles, providing individual, group, and family therapy for acute populations. He has played a pivotal role in developing and managing clinical programs, including child and adolescent inpatient behavioral therapy units and adult intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. His expertise extends to coordinating with emergency room psychiatric assessment teams, enhancing program referrals, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
