Dr. Jamil Alhassan is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Psychiatrist with extensive training in both disciplines, allowing him to deliver comprehensive, whole-person care that integrates physical and mental health. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry, graduating cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He later completed his residency through the UC San Diego Family Medicine and Psychiatry Residency Program, where he developed a strong foundation in treating complex, co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Alhassan specializes in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and provides advanced treatment options for individuals with major depressive disorder and treatment-resistant depression. He is also experienced in Spravato (esketamine) therapy and offers comprehensive psychiatric care for patients with bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, adult ADHD, and psychotic disorders. His practice emphasizes evidence-based medicine combined with individualized treatment planning.

Committed to improving both mental health outcomes and overall quality of life, Dr. Alhassan approaches each patient with compassion, respect, and attentiveness. He prioritizes creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to actively participate in their care.
