Jamie Lemon, FNP-C
Jamie Lemon, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience, currently practicing at Fast Pace Urgent Care in Kaplan, Louisiana. She began her healthcare career in 2010 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) after graduating from Morgan Smith Technical College in Jennings, Louisiana. Over the years, she has developed a wealth of experience across multiple healthcare settings, including med-surg, ICU, telemetry, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
After starting as a med-surg nurse at Regional Medical Center of Lafayette, Jamie transitioned to Eunice Manor Nursing Home in 2011, where she spent 15 years specializing in geriatric care. During this time, she honed her skills in patient management, chronic care, and age-related health challenges, and continues to serve the facility on an as-needed basis. Her experience in geriatrics has provided her with a unique perspective on comprehensive patient care, emphasizing both medical expertise and compassionate support.
Jamie further advanced her nursing career by joining the emergency room team at Opelousas General Hospital, where she worked for nine years. During this period, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University, completing her graduate studies in May 2025. She passed her Family Nurse Practitioner boards in June 2025 and began practicing as a provider in August 2025.
Certified in FNP-C, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC, Jamie applies her extensive training and experience to urgent care, emergency medicine, and geriatric services. Her diverse clinical background enables her to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of healthcare needs. Whether treating acute conditions, managing chronic illnesses, or providing preventive care, Jamie combines expertise, empathy, and dedication to deliver exceptional outcomes for her patients.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is the ability to truly advocate for my patients and make a meaningful difference in their care. I began my career as an LPN, and I quickly realized I wanted to do more than simply follow orders—I wanted to actively contribute to patient outcomes and build strong, trusting relationships with both patients and colleagues. Over the years, I’ve developed a good rapport with physicians and other healthcare professionals who trust my judgment, which allows me to collaborate effectively and provide the best care possible. I enjoy the challenge, the learning, and the opportunity to make each patient’s experience better.
