Isabel Resendiz Espino, Bilingual SLP
Isabel Espino is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with experience providing comprehensive care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. She currently works with a private clinic in southern Oregon that partners with multiple hospitals, allowing her to support patients in acute care environments as well as in clinical outpatient therapy. Isabel treats individuals across the lifespan, from infants as young as one year old receiving feeding therapy to adults with complex speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Her clinical expertise spans speech and language impairments, dysphagia, and cognitive-linguistic disorders, giving her a broad and well-rounded scope of practice. Isabel is known for her adaptability and hands-on approach, frequently transitioning between hospital-based inpatient care and outpatient services to meet patient needs. Her ability to work with diverse age groups and diagnoses reflects both her strong clinical foundation and her commitment to individualized, patient-centered care.
As a bilingual clinician, Spanish is Isabel’s first language, enabling her to effectively serve Spanish-speaking and multilingual populations—an essential and often underrepresented resource in healthcare. She was drawn to speech pathology by her passion for both science and language, as well as her desire to give back to her community. Looking ahead, Isabel plans to continue working in hospital and critical care settings, pursue board certification in swallowing disorders, and advance her education through a clinical doctorate, further strengthening her impact in the field.
