Homaira Behsudi-Wali
Dr. Homaira Behsudi-Wali, MD, MPH is a Family Physician and Humanitarian Leader dedicated to advancing equitable, community-based care. With over two decades of experience in family medicine and public health, she brings a holistic and compassionate approach to patient wellness, focusing on prevention, education, and long-term health outcomes. Currently serving as a Primary Care Physician with Inova Medical Group in McLean, Virginia, Dr. Behsudi-Wali combines clinical excellence with a deep commitment to service and advocacy.
A graduate of Kabul University, Faculty of Medicine, and The Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Master of Public Health, Dr. Behsudi-Wali has cultivated a career that bridges global health and community medicine. She previously founded Vienna Integrative Healthcare, a clinic dedicated to science-based, patient-centered care, and has served in leadership roles across several healthcare institutions, including Virginia Hospital Center and Optimal Health Physicians. Her integrative and preventive philosophy reflects her belief that effective healthcare must treat the whole person—mind, body, and community.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Behsudi-Wali is deeply engaged in humanitarian work. She is the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Afghan-American Women’s Association (A-AWA), where she has spent over 17 years empowering women through education, advocacy, and social services. Her volunteer leadership with the Fairfax Medical Reserve Corps and the Afghan Medical Professionals Association of America further highlights her dedication to public service and global health. Fluent in English and Farsi, Dr. Behsudi-Wali continues to advocate for equity, resilience, and healing in both her professional and personal mission.
