Hiram Maldonado Rivera, MD

Dr. Hiram Maldonado-Rivera is a board-certified endocrinologist and internist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary diseases. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health and overall wellness. Dr. Maldonado-Rivera also has a special interest in thyroid nodules, advanced thyroid imaging, and fine-needle aspiration to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective management.

Prior to joining UCF Health East Orlando, Dr. Maldonado-Rivera practiced at Miami Endocrine Associates and served on the teaching staff for the Larkin Community Hospital Endocrinology & Metabolism Fellowship. He has also contributed to medical education as an adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, Puerto Rico Campus in San Juan. His experience spans both clinical practice and academic mentorship, reflecting his commitment to excellence in patient care and education.

Dr. Maldonado-Rivera is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society, where he has presented at professional conferences. Through his clinical expertise, teaching, and advocacy for patient wellness, he continues to make a meaningful impact in the field of endocrinology and the lives of his patients.
