Gloria Visnick, RN, RHIT, CCS

Gloria Visnick is a registered nurse with 27 years of experience who has successfully expanded her expertise into medical coding. She holds credentials as an RN, RHIT, and CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), and she specializes in operating room and emergency room coding. Gloria’s career reflects a seamless integration of clinical knowledge with the technical precision required in health information management, enabling her to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding compliance.

Throughout her nursing career, Gloria gained extensive experience in bedside care, particularly in high-acuity environments. Her deep understanding of procedures, surgery, and patient care provided a strong foundation for her transition into medical coding. Recognizing the demanding nature of bedside nursing, she sought a career path that would allow her to continue leveraging her clinical expertise while pursuing a different professional focus.

To support this transition, Gloria pursued additional education, earning her RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) degree from West Virginia Northern Community College in 2018. She also obtained her CCS certification, which further solidified her qualifications in medical coding. This education, combined with her extensive nursing experience, allows her to navigate complex coding scenarios with accuracy and confidence.
