Gloria A. Kohn
Gloria A. Kohn is a Nurse Practitioner at All Medical Locum Tenens, where she has been serving as a locum provider since 2019. Gloria has dedicated over three decades to nursing and healthcare, including 26 years of distinguished service as a nurse practitioner. She specializes in primary care, occupational medicine, and urgent care, serving the San Antonio, Texas community. Her journey into healthcare began in childhood, when she would tie bandanas on her mother’s head to help ease migraine headaches. This early experience of caring for others inspired her to pursue a career in medicine, ultimately earning her bachelor’s degree in 1987 and a master’s degree in 1996 from West Texas State University.
Throughout her career, Gloria has held a variety of clinical and locum tenens roles, including positions at Rhino Health, Villa Family Clinic, and private practices. She is known for her patient-centered approach, clinical excellence, and ability to manage both acute and chronic conditions. Her impact is reflected in recognition as the second top-producing provider at her organization, with patients specifically requesting her care. One particularly memorable encounter involved a patient expressing gratitude for detecting a breast lump early, which may have saved her life. Gloria is ANCC certified and proficient in multiple EMR systems, including eClinicalWorks and Fusion, allowing her to deliver efficient and effective care across diverse healthcare settings.
An active member of the San Antonio Nurses in Advanced Practice, Texas Nurses Association, and American Nurses Association, Gloria continues to advance the field of nursing through her practice and professional involvement. Looking ahead, she plans to share her extensive knowledge and experience by teaching at the university level and through virtual platforms, inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals while continuing her mission of compassionate, high-quality patient care.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I love all of it. I didn't make a mistake in going into this career, because this was meant for me. I love helping people. I made the right choice going into nursing and going into the nurse practitioner track. It's very rewarding. Looking forward, I plan to teach later on in life, either at the university setting or virtually, to share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of healthcare providers.
