Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Divine Wellness Therapeutic
Hope Mills, NC 28348

Gabrielle Palmer, LCSWA, LCASA, MSW, is a dedicated mental health therapist and U.S. Army veteran committed to expanding access to compassionate, culturally responsive care for individuals and families in her community. Born in California and raised primarily in Raeford, North Carolina, Gabrielle graduated from Hoke County High School before pursuing higher education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. As a proud first-generation, two-time alumna of the university, she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Social Work with an emphasis in Substance Use and Addiction Recovery, graduating summa cum laude. Today, she practices as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to her work.

Gabrielle’s commitment to mental health has shaped her entire adult life, with more than 14 years of experience in the field. From 2010 to 2018, she served in the North Carolina National Guard as a truck driver while simultaneously working in civilian mental health roles, including peer support and other behavioral health positions. Inspired by her father’s work in mental health services and her upbringing in a small rural community, Gabrielle developed a strong passion for serving disadvantaged and underserved populations. As an African American clinician, she is particularly committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community and increasing representation within the field. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, family and marriage counseling, grief support, and trauma-informed care for veterans coping with PTSD.

Currently, Gabrielle provides outpatient therapy through Divine Wellness Therapeutic in Hope Mills, North Carolina, where she works with both children and adults using strengths-based and client-centered approaches. Her personal experiences with loss, including the passing of both of her parents, deeply inform her compassionate approach to grief counseling and advocacy. In addition to her clinical work, Gabrielle serves as board chairperson of True to You Outreach, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health resources and supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or transitioning from incarceration. Looking ahead, she is working toward establishing her own private practice, where she hopes to continue creating safe, supportive spaces for individuals from all walks of life to heal, grow, and reclaim their sense of self.
