Francina Rolle

Francina is a dedicated healthcare professional with 28 years of experience caring for individuals across all stages of life. Her journey in healthcare began while she was still in high school, working with disabled adults and seniors in recreation therapy. Since then, she has built a career grounded in compassion, respect, and a deep commitment to serving others. For Francina, healthcare is not just a profession—it is a calling that has shaped her life for nearly three decades.

Today, Francina works as a nursing assistant at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, New York, while also providing care through an agency. She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license about five to six years ago around 2020 during the COVID era and also holds a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) license. Francina studied nursing at Bronx Community College and has continually focused on improving the lives of the patients she serves. Her philosophy is simple: treat every patient like family. Whether caring for a young patient or an elderly individual, she strives to bring comfort, laughter, and kindness to every shift.

Guided by her lifelong motto, “They need me,” Francina approaches her work with empathy and purpose. The phrase, which she first shared with her great-grandmother when she was only seven years old, has become the foundation of her mission in healthcare. Inspired by the needs she has seen in her community, she is now working toward launching her own business, Rolle Companion Care, in Wurtsboro, New York. Through this initiative, Francina hopes to provide compassionate companionship and support for older adults in her community who need quality care and meaningful human connection.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is caring for people and loving what I do. Going in every morning or even in the evening shift and seeing those smiles on their faces, whether it's a young person or an older adult. My thing is, if I can make you smile within my 8-hour shift, then I did my job. If I can make you laugh, I did my job. If I could show you care and concern, just being a person, treat you like a human being, treat you like if you were my mom, my dad, my grandpa, my kid, that's what makes me me. It makes me work hard for it. I'm really passionate about what I'm doing. I had a slogan when I was little that I didn't understand until about 4 or 5 years ago. My slogan used to be 'they need me.' I was 7 years old, and I used to tell my great-grandmother they need me. I didn't understand it, but I understand it now. They need me, and that is my slogan, and I'm gonna keep that slogan.
