Eva Raparia, MD
Dr. Eva Raparia is a Medical Retina Specialist at South Shore Eye Care, LLP in Wantagh, New York. She earned her undergraduate degree from Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College, participating in the highly selective 8-year combined BA/MD program with SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, graduating with Distinction in Research, and was selected for the Clinical Neurosciences Pathway Honors Program. During medical school, Dr. Raparia also received the Alumni Fund Research Fellowship Award and actively participated in community outreach vision screenings.
Dr. Raparia completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She then pursued a Medical Retina Fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout her training, Dr. Raparia has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented at national conferences, and participated in teaching residents and medical students.
In her current practice, Dr. Raparia specializes in the medical management and treatment of retinal conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. She is experienced in performing in-office procedures such as anti-VEGF injections and retinal laser treatments. Dr. Raparia is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care to her patients while advancing the field of medical retina through research and education.
