Erin Slater, NP
Erin Slater, FNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than two decades of experience spanning primary care, specialty practice, and academic leadership. Erin began her career in community health clinics, providing comprehensive care to diverse patient populations. These formative years shaped her patient-centered approach, grounded in attentive listening, clear communication, and a strong commitment to ensuring patients feel heard and understood. Her reputation as a thoughtful and determined advocate for her patients has remained a defining element of her work.
Motivated by a desire to deepen her clinical expertise and influenced by personal health experiences, Erin later transitioned into otolaryngology. She currently practices in Terre Haute, Indiana, where she focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions such as ear infections, sinus disorders, hearing loss, and chronic allergy-related concerns. Her clinical responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operative evaluations and conducting diagnostic laryngoscopy, allowing her to play an integral role in both medical management and surgical care coordination.
In addition to her clinical practice, Erin is deeply committed to nursing education and mentorship. She earned her master’s degree from Indiana State University, holds national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. For more than a decade, she has taught nursing courses at the university level and served as a clinical preceptor for Family Nurse Practitioner students at the University of Indianapolis and Indiana State University. Looking ahead, Erin plans to pursue the ENT nurse certification in 2026, further strengthening her ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
