Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most is seeing how bariatric surgery really changes patients' lives. I had a couple of patients that I saw afterwards that were super thankful and happy, and they had really just regained a new sense of life. I almost feel like it's more important than cancer surgery and things like that, because you're helping people for so long. Most of the patients are young, and they have so many years ahead, so you really just give them a new opportunity for life. It's really rewarding to see them regain confidence and a whole new sense of living.
