Erin Moran-Atkin, MD

Dr. Erin Moran-Atkin is an accomplished bariatric surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. With over a decade of experience since completing her fellowship, she specializes in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, focusing on complex and high-risk cases. Known for her willingness to treat patients who may be declined by other centers due to cardiac or pulmonary conditions, Dr. Moran-Atkin is deeply committed to providing life-changing surgical care that improves long-term health outcomes and quality of life.
Dr. Moran-Atkin completed her bariatric and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital following her general surgery residency at The George Washington University Hospital and her internship at The Mount Sinai Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Anáhuac and has since built a distinguished career grounded in both clinical excellence and academic contribution.
