Erika Faile, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Erika Faile is a board-certified family medicine physician and experienced hospitalist at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, where she has been serving patients since 2009. With nearly 20 years in medicine—including three years of residency and almost 17 years as an attending—Dr. Faile has dedicated her career to adult inpatient care, guiding patients through some of the most vulnerable and critical moments of their lives. Her background as a physical therapist for four years prior to medical school provided her with a unique perspective on healing, fostering a holistic approach to patient care that integrates both the physical and emotional aspects of wellness.
Throughout her medical career, Dr. Faile has actively contributed to leadership and committee work. She served on the Medical Executive Committee for four years, the Peer Review Committee for four years, and currently participates in the Physician Well-Being Committee. Additionally, she served as an associate instructor for the FSU College of Medicine, teaching medical students while practicing family medicine and caring for both children and adults. These experiences reinforced her commitment to mentorship, education, and the well-being of healthcare teams.
Building on her personal journey of overcoming burnout, anxiety, and insomnia, Dr. Faile is now launching Sleep in Peace, a faith-based 90-day coaching program designed specifically for high-capacity women, including healthcare professionals in demanding roles. The program helps participants reclaim restorative sleep, manage anxiety, and restore resilience through practical, faith-based habits that integrate spiritual and emotional wellness. Dr. Faile’s approach emphasizes sustainable transformation, empowering women to move from survival mode to thriving in every area of life.
Dr. Faile’s coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in her personal experiences and faith. She recognizes that many high-capacity women appear successful on the outside while struggling internally with exhaustion, stress, and spiritual depletion. Through her program, participants learn to reconnect with their inner peace, rebuild healthy sleep patterns, and integrate biblical principles into daily routines for lasting impact. Her goal is to provide guidance that honors both the mind and spirit, offering tools and strategies that are practical, actionable, and deeply transformative.
In addition to her coaching work, Dr. Faile continues to integrate her faith into her professional practice at a Christian hospital, collaborating with patients, families, chaplains, and colleagues to extend compassionate, holistic care. She combines her medical expertise with her passion for mentorship, advocacy, and spiritual well-being to create a unique blend of coaching and clinical insight. Her new coaching venture, Sleep in Peace, represents a natural extension of her lifelong mission: to help women achieve restoration, resilience, and peace in the midst of demanding careers and life challenges.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine are the meaningful encounters I have with patients, their families, and my colleagues—including nurses and fellow physicians. Being present during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient’s life is truly a privilege and an honor. I value the opportunity to listen, to laugh, to cry, and to pray alongside patients and families. Working at a Christian hospital, where the mission is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, has made this work even more meaningful. I deeply appreciate collaborating with chaplains, nurses, and other care team members to provide compassionate, holistic care.
