What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is emergency medicine and ICU care, especially working with patients across all age ranges in high-acuity environments. What truly drives me is the constant curiosity to learn more and to understand the “why” behind each clinical presentation and decision. I also value the versatility of nursing—being able to extend care beyond the hospital setting and into patients’ homes. Providing in-home assessments allows me to help patients, particularly within the geriatric population, receive the resources they need to remain safely and comfortably in their own environment. I also genuinely enjoy the investigative side of healthcare, which is what drew me to legal nurse consulting. It allows me to apply both my nursing and paramedic background in a different way—reviewing cases, analyzing medical records, and determining whether the clinical facts support the overall narrative, almost like solving a medical puzzle.
