Emily Helgeson, PT, DPT, ACSM EP-C

Emily Helgeson, PT, DPT, ACSM EP-C, is a licensed physical therapist in California, currently practicing at Vacaville Convalescence & Rehabilitation Center. She specializes in working with patients in skilled nursing facilities, applying evidence-based techniques to help individuals recover mobility, improve strength, and regain independence. Emily is dedicated to providing personalized care that prioritizes patient safety, functional outcomes, and overall well-being.

A 2025 graduate of California State University–Sacramento’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Emily also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Pre-Professional focus. Throughout her doctoral studies, she completed internships in skilled nursing, outpatient therapy, and acute care hospital settings, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and complex patient cases. Her training emphasized patient evaluation, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and effective clinical documentation.

Outside of her professional work, Emily enjoys volunteering and engaging with her community. She has contributed her time to U.S. Figure Skating events and has served on her church worship team, where she honed leadership and teamwork skills. Emily’s commitment to patient care, professional growth, and community involvement reflects her holistic approach to health and rehabilitation.
