Ella Hollis, LCSW
Ella Hollis is a licensed social worker and therapist with over 23 years of experience in the field of mental health and social services. Since beginning her practice in 2000, she has dedicated her career to serving individuals and families across the lifespan, working with clients as young as two years old through adulthood. She is the founder of Hollis Multi-Service Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she provides therapy, play therapy, family therapy, and comprehensive case management services aimed at improving both emotional well-being and access to essential resources.
Through her clinical work, Ella supports clients not only in therapeutic settings but also in addressing critical life needs such as housing, food security, and community support services. Her approach is deeply holistic, combining emotional care with practical assistance to help clients achieve stability and long-term growth. In her therapeutic practice, she integrates evidence-based modalities including child-centered play therapy and family systems work, ensuring that both children and their caregivers are supported in the healing process.
Ella holds a Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology, with minors in Psychology, African American Studies, and Spanish. She is currently completing her PhD at Capella University, further strengthening her academic foundation and commitment to lifelong learning in both social work and leadership.
In addition to her clinical practice, Ella is actively engaged in public service and leadership. She serves as an elected board member for Warren Township Government in Indianapolis, where she helps oversee community resources and ensures that residents receive necessary support services. She is also an elected state delegate for Indiana and serves on the Indiana University board as a group scholars recommender, assisting students in obtaining four-year scholarships. Alongside these roles, she works as a senior tax analyst, providing financial support and guidance during tax season.
Outside of her professional and civic responsibilities, Ella maintains a demanding schedule while prioritizing balance through regular travel and self-care. She works long hours across her multiple roles but makes it a point to take periodic breaks to recharge, often traveling to the beach every few months. Her dedication to service, education, and community advocacy reflects a lifelong commitment to empowering others while continuously expanding her own impact across multiple fields.
