Ednah Silmon, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP BC, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing holistic, patient-centered care across the lifespan. She is passionate about guiding patients in actively participating in their healthcare plans and using evidence-based practices to achieve positive outcomes. With a focus on both physical and mental health, Ednah integrates her expertise in primary care and psychiatric-mental health to manage urgent medical needs, chronic conditions, and in-clinic procedures effectively. Currently, Ednah practices at NextCare in Plano, Texas, where she manages a high-volume, fast-paced clinic. She is skilled in performing in-clinic procedures such as laceration repairs and incision and drainage, as well as utilizing digital X-ray imaging and in-house diagnostic lab testing. Her professional approach emphasizes education, empowerment, and compassionate communication, ensuring that patients feel supported and confident in their care decisions. Ednah earned her Master’s Degree in Family Practice Nursing from Texas State University and a Mental Health Certificate in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of New Hampshire. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANPCB) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, ANCC). Fluent in English, she is an active member of professional organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association. Outside of work, Ednah enjoys gardening and nurturing her love for growth, both in her patients and in her personal life.
