Diane Wood, LPN

Diane Wood, LPN, is a highly experienced Licensed Practical Nurse with nearly five decades of dedication to patient care and more than 20 years specializing in addiction medicine. She currently works part time with Dr. Lee Gresser, LLC, providing telehealth-based nursing support within a Suboxone treatment practice. Diane brings deep expertise in addiction recovery, care coordination, medication administration, and patient counseling, along with a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Her clinical background also includes extensive service with We Care Health Care, where she supported patients for over 28 years in a wide range of nursing and care coordination roles.

Diane graduated from the South Jefferson Central & Watertown Vocational Technical Center in Adams, New York, completing her nursing education in 1976 and earning her New York State LPN license after passing state boards the same year. Throughout her career, she has completed in-services on Methadone treatment, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, and first aid, and she continues to expand her skill set through ongoing professional development. In addition to her nursing credentials, Diane is also a Certified Life Coach, further strengthening her ability to support patients through complex personal and recovery-related challenges. She is known for helping patients navigate insurance and tax benefits to reduce financial burdens while accessing care.

Diane’s work is deeply informed by empathy and lived experience. Having lost her only son, Howard Wood, to an accidental overdose in 2007, she brings profound understanding, compassion, and advocacy to individuals and families affected by addiction. Beyond her professional role, Diane is an active community volunteer with the American Legion Auxiliary and 8/40, where she has served as president of both organizations. Her career reflects not only clinical excellence, but also a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and supporting patients with dignity, respect, and hope.
