Diana Byk, PharmD, RPh, BSPS, MBA is a hematology-oncology pharmacist serving as a Medical Necessity Pharmacist at Geisinger Wyoming Valley’s Henry Cancer Center in Pennsylvania. She specializes in the review and authorization of high-cost oncology therapies, including CAR-T treatments, ensuring clinical appropriateness, NCCN guideline adherence, and compliance with payer requirements.Working directly with 10–15 infusion patients daily, Dr. Byk collaborates with interdisciplinary oncology teams to optimize treatment plans, reduce delays in therapy, and mitigate financial toxicity. Her practice integrates evidence-based medicine with payer strategy and operational insight to support timely, sustainable access to complex cancer therapies.
