Deborah MacPherson, LPN

Deborah MacPherson, LPN, is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 35 years of experience in nursing, having begun her career in 1988. She started as a CNA before advancing to an LPN and has built a diverse clinical background across skilled nursing facilities, mental health settings, pediatric home care, ventilator and specialty units, and bariatric care environments. Her experience spans the full lifespan, providing care to patients ranging in age from 14 to 112.

Throughout her career, Deborah has held progressive leadership and supervisory roles, including serving as Assistant Director of Nursing in both Indiana and Arizona. In these positions, she contributed to operational oversight, staff development, and the implementation of specialized care programs, including the development of a bariatric care wing in a specialty hospital and supervision of ventilator and tracheostomy care units. She has also contributed to nursing education, teaching basic nurse aide courses and supporting the development of clinical competencies in new healthcare workers.

Currently, Deborah serves as a nurse consultant in group home settings, where she works under the supervision of an RN to support comprehensive resident care. Her responsibilities include coordinating medical appointments, ensuring access to specialty care, supporting preventive screenings in alignment with DDS guidelines, and overseeing medication administration practices by direct care staff. She also provides routine and annual nursing delegations and education to non-medical staff, with a strong focus on safety, continuity of care, and overall health outcomes for residents.
