Dawn Nessler, PhD, LISW-CP, LCSW, MSW, BS, AS is a licensed mental health professional at Humming Heart Counseling, specializing in working with older adolescents through older adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. She is dedicated to supporting clients through challenging periods, helping them build resilience, clarity, and confidence. Dawn holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Leadership from Liberty University, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology (BS, Magna Cum Laude) from Park University, combining advanced leadership insight with strong clinical expertise. Her therapeutic approach is individualized and evidence-based, emphasizing empathy, reflective listening, and collaborative goal setting. At Humming Heart Counseling, Dawn primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring interventions to each client’s unique strengths and needs.
