Darlene Ceus, PharmD

Dr. Darlene Ceus is a supervising pharmacist with over 15 years of experience in pharmacy practice, currently serving at Express Med Pharmacy in the Bronx, New York. She specializes in compounding pharmacy services, with a focus on providing personalized, patient-centered care through non-sterile topical preparations and customized medication delivery options. Before joining Express Med, Dr. Ceus served as operations manager at Montefiore NIAC for three and a half years, where she oversaw a team of over 50 pharmacy staff members. She developed and led comprehensive training programs for new nursing hires, including monthly orientation sessions on pharmacy services, safety protocols, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She also created shadowing opportunities for new graduate nurses to gain firsthand experience of pharmacy operations, fostering strong relationships between departments.

Dr. Ceus earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Virginia. She completed a PGY-1 residency at the Brooklyn VA and a PGY-2 residency in psychiatry, further enhancing her clinical expertise. She is licensed in New York, Virginia, and Florida and is immunization certified. Her early career includes experience as a pharmacy manager at CVS in Miami, Florida, adding to her breadth of knowledge across multiple pharmacy settings.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to make meaningful differences in patients’ lives. I value the one-on-one interactions where I can understand each patient personally and tailor care to their specific needs. Building these relationships allows me to provide individualized, compassionate treatment and to support patients through sometimes challenging transitions. Being able to see the impact of my work firsthand and knowing I’ve helped improve someone’s health or quality of life is incredibly rewarding.
