Daniela Yusufov-Kapila, APRN, FNP-BC
Daniela Yusufov-Kapila, APRN, FNP-BC, is an accomplished orthopedic nurse practitioner based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with over 11 years of comprehensive nursing experience. She began her career in New York, where she developed a strong clinical foundation in perioperative nursing at Level I trauma centers. During this time, she served in multiple critical roles, including charge nurse, scrub nurse, and circulator, gaining advanced expertise across a wide range of surgical specialties. Daniela credits her New York training and mentorship by highly skilled professionals as instrumental in shaping her into the clinician she is today.
Throughout her career, Daniela has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and leadership. She has worked with specialty surgical teams, including those involved in gender reassignment procedures, and has played an active role in mentoring and precepting new graduate nurses. Her transition into advanced practice has allowed her to further expand her impact, combining her extensive surgical background with a patient-centered approach to diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care. She currently practices in South Florida, where she works closely with Dr. Kristopher Chenard, MD, providing comprehensive orthopedic care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including trauma, sports injuries, and total joint arthroplasties.
Daniela is deeply passionate about promoting mobility, longevity, and quality of life for her patients, from high-performing athletes to geriatric individuals seeking to maintain independence. She is actively developing an innovative bone health and wellness program that integrates nutritional supplementation and evidence-based research, including the use of NAD+, vitamin D, and zinc, to support bone density, joint integrity, and overall musculoskeletal health. She is preparing to sit for orthopedic nurse practitioner board certification and also holds certification as a medical marijuana nurse from New York State. Fluent in Russian and conversational in Spanish, Daniela is well-equipped to serve diverse patient populations and is currently seeking opportunities to continue advancing her practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I absolutely love orthopedics. I think it's fascinating how our body works. It's so interesting to see how people can recover from life-changing traumatic injuries and to see how we are able to help with longevity for the growing geriatric population that we have in our country and in the world. I love helping patients maintain their activities of daily living and stay active with their sports and activities. We are in South Florida, so we have a lot of patients that are very active, and they want to keep that level. We work together with them to maintain their longevity and their quality of life.
