Daniel Bochicchio, MD, FCCP, FASAM

Dr. Dan Bochicchio, MD, FCCP, FASAM, serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Ashley Addiction Treatment in Havre de Grace, Maryland. With over two decades of leadership in healthcare and public service, Dr. Bochicchio has dedicated his career to advancing patient care, organizational excellence, and clinical innovation in addiction treatment and medical services. His expertise spans emergency management, anesthesiology, critical care, and executive leadership, reflecting a commitment to improving outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Bochicchio held executive positions in both public and non-profit sectors, including Executive Director at Volunteers of America, Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and interim Chief Executive Officer in Beckley, West Virginia. He also served as Director of the Office of Emergency Management in Washington, D.C., and Vice Chief Surgeon for the United States Department of Defense. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he combined clinical practice with teaching and research.

Dr. Bochicchio’s educational foundation includes the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and advanced studies at the United States Army War College. He has volunteered as a Disaster Response Physician with the Maryland Reserve Medical Corps, contributing to humanitarian and emergency relief efforts. His professional credentials, including Fellowships in Critical Care (FCCP) and Addiction Medicine (FASAM), underscore his dual commitment to clinical excellence and leadership in complex healthcare environments.
