Crystal S. Owen, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in geriatrics, committed to delivering patient-centered care for older adults. Crystal’s extensive educational background reflects her commitment to excellence and lifelong learning. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her AAS in Professional Nursing from Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley in Kansas City, KS. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association (TNPA), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and evidence-based practice.
Her clinical and leadership experience spans multiple healthcare settings. Before joining CenterWell NW Dallas in 2023 as a center provider and market clinical educator, Crystal served as a Clinical Operations Lead, creating education and training programs for Humana. She has also practiced at USPI/Baylor Surgical Hospital Uptown, Dallas, Presbyterian Hospital-Dallas, and the University of Kansas Medical Center. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to senior care, inspired by caring for her grandmother, and has precepted and mentored Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician students in Value-Based Care, sharing her expertise in geriatric medicine.
Crystal’s contributions to healthcare have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Rising Star Award (2025), Silver Star Award (2024), and Excellence Award (2021) from CenterWell Senior Primary Care. Beyond her professional work, she enjoys traveling with her spouse, spending quality time with family, friends, and colleagues, as well as horseback riding, dancing, and beach activities.
