Colleen F. Gigante, LMHC
Colleen Gigante, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and CEO of Mind Metamorphosis Corp, a Florida-based mental health practice dedicated to helping individuals and families transform their lives. With over seven years of professional experience and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University Tampa, along with an Ed.S in School Psychology, Colleen brings both expertise and empathy to her work. Her mission is rooted in providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can freely express themselves, heal, and grow. She believes in treating every person with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness—values that guide every aspect of her counseling practice.
Before becoming a therapist, Colleen worked as a public-school teacher, an experience that deepened her understanding of the emotional and behavioral challenges children and adolescents face. She now specializes in working with youth, families, and adults addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Colleen also has a deep commitment to supporting service members, veterans, and first responders coping with PTSD and the complex effects of trauma. Through her compassionate and evidence-based approach, she helps clients find resilience and rediscover their inner strength.
Beyond her clinical work, Colleen is an advocate for mental health education and community engagement. She frequently speaks to nonprofit organizations and community groups—free of charge within 50 miles of the Tampa Bay area or via Zoom—on topics such as child development, bullying prevention, relationship issues, starting over, and the power of group therapy. Colleen’s diverse experiences, from the classroom to the clinic, reflect her unwavering passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges and embrace meaningful, lasting change.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing mental health counseling is helping my clients grow into the best versions of themselves. There’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing someone gain self-awareness, confidence, and emotional strength as they work through challenges. Being part of that transformation—helping individuals discover their resilience and move toward a higher version of themselves—is what truly inspires me every day.
