Christine Kayga, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor based in Colorado, providing individual therapy to adults and seniors. With a background in school counseling and over 3 years in private practice, she specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, family and relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. Christine’s goal is to guide clients through the therapeutic process by establishing clear, personalized goals and fostering resilience, self-confidence, and emotional well-being. Her counseling approach is integrative and client-centered, blending Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused techniques, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Christine emphasizes practical skill-building, including role-play, exposure therapy, and coping strategies, helping clients strengthen communication, set healthy boundaries, and build confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Christine’s professional journey began with six years as a school counselor, focusing on emotional regulation and interpersonal relationships for students of diverse backgrounds. She earned her Master of Counseling degree from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bemidji State University. Outside of her direct counseling work, Christine is committed to supporting clients in achieving long-term growth and self-discovery. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is helping individuals create meaningful change in their lives and supporting them in achieving their best mental health. Being able to guide clients through challenges, witness their growth, and see them gain resilience and confidence is incredibly rewarding. My work allows me to combine clinical knowledge with creativity to provide personalized care that truly meets each person’s needs.
