China Battista, MSN, APN-BC, is an advanced practice Nurse Practitioner specializing in non-invasive and minimally invasive facial aesthetics. China has been in nursing since 2002 and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2005, building a strong foundation in emergency medicine, trauma, and critical care. She spent approximately half of her career in hospital-based settings before transitioning fully into private aesthetic practice in 2018. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Wagner College, completing her graduate studies in 2005. Her extensive clinical background contributes to her emphasis on safety, evidence-based practice, and consistently low complication rates in aesthetic procedures.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
Definitely now, I would say, giving people their confidence, and being able to make little subtle changes to the aging process that just gives people confidence to go about their life in the way that they want to. I used to spend a lot of time telling people bad news, so it's been a nice shift to do something that's not a necessity, but something that makes people happy.
