Cheryl Blicharz, BSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, CLNC

Cheryl Blicharz, BSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, CLNC, is a highly skilled emergency and trauma nurse with over 15 years of experience in fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environments. She currently serves as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse with Sentara Healthcare, where she provides critical care across multiple emergency department settings, including rural, freestanding, and Level 3 trauma centers. Known for her adaptability and clinical expertise, Cheryl manages a wide range of cases—from strokes and STEMIs to trauma, mental health crises, and acute illnesses—delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in some of the most demanding situations.

Before becoming a registered nurse, Cheryl built a strong foundation in emergency services as a paramedic and firefighter, experiences that continue to inform her calm, decisive approach in crisis situations. She holds multiple advanced certifications, including Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC). In addition to her bedside role, Cheryl operates her own legal nurse consulting business, where she serves as both a consulting and testifying expert, bridging the gap between clinical practice and the legal system.

Cheryl is also an active leader within the Emergency Nurses Association, currently serving as Treasurer for the Virginia chapter. Through this role, she advocates for emergency nurses at both the state and national levels, contributing to policy development, education, and legislative efforts that support the profession. With a career defined by service, versatility, and leadership, Cheryl remains deeply committed to advancing emergency nursing while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patient care and healthcare systems alike.
