Chaunalee Volkmann, LCSW
Chaunalee Volkmann, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Boise, dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care across the lifespan. She currently serves as a Mental Health Counselor with EverMind Health, offering support to individuals navigating complex mental health conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns. With specialized certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and extensive training in suicide awareness and prevention, Chaunalee brings both clinical expertise and heartfelt empathy to her work with clients ages 3 to 90.
Her educational foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Human Rights Certificate from Boise State University, followed by a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Trauma and Mental Health from the University of Denver. Since beginning her work in human services in 2017 and transitioning into clinical practice in 2019, she has served in community mental health, case management, and rehabilitation roles, building a strong background in advocacy and whole-person care. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to equity, dignity, and accessible mental health services.
Chaunalee’s path into social work is deeply personal. Inspired by her own experiences with trauma and by the social worker who supported her family during her pregnancy with her daughter—who was diagnosed with spina bifida—she felt called to become that same source of hope for others. Now the founder of Ray of Sunshine Therapy LLC, she provides telehealth services with a focus on ADHD and trauma recovery, and she holds a special passion for supporting women who have experienced domestic or interpersonal violence. Beyond clinical practice, she also teaches sexual assault prevention classes for children, equipping families and communities with tools to protect and empower the next generation. Through every role she holds, Chaunalee strives to create safe, validating spaces where healing can begin.
