What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is teaching and mentoring new nurses. I love showing them procedures they’ve never seen before and helping them gain confidence in their skills. While I have a strong background in med-surg and acute care, my true passion has always been hospice. Hospice care holds a special place in my heart, and the experiences I gained there—working closely with patients and families during some of the most sensitive moments—have shaped my entire approach to nursing. Even during my time in long-term care, which I valued greatly for the experience it provided, hospice remains the area where I feel most fulfilled.
